The Tennis Court, Great Staughton Playing Field

Great Staughton Tennis courts provide a community facility to the village of Great Staughton and the surrounding area.

There are two all weather courts available convieniently sited at the playing fields with ample parking

The Courts are adjacent to The Great Staughton playing fields, with parking available behind the village School.

As many of you may have noticed, the tennis courts located on the Playing Field are not used as much as we would like. As a result, there is a risk that the Club will fold and the courts fall into disrepair. Ultimately, this fantastic facility could be lost. A new committee has recently been formed with the sole aim of trying to ensure that this does not happen.

We believe that it is too soon in our plan to rebuild the Club to ask you to pay a membership fee. The courts will therefore remain free to use for the present time, at your own risk. However, the courts will soon need maintenance and repair. We cannot therefore offer free play forever.

To kick things off, we are starting a playing group on Sunday mornings at 10.30am from Sunday 10 April 2016. All levels and ages welcome. Please feel free to come along and join in. We also hope to arrange an open day with a tennis coach coming along to spend some time with the children in the village.

We would like to invite anyone interested in playing tennis to register their interest using the contact details below, or posting on our new Facebook page. We look forward to hearing from you and to playing tennis with you very soon.
