Community Car Scheme Coordinator!

The Highwayman community car scheme are looking to recruit a volunteer coordinator. This is a much valued service and provides a door-to-door transport service for people who do not have the use of a car and have difficulty accessing public transport. Not only does it enables them to access essential services but also helps them to keep in social contact and avoid becoming isolated.

This is a wonderful volunteering opportunity for anyone who would like to help in their community. The role would involve answering the phone and arranging a driver. The car scheme is supported by Care Network Cambridgeshire and Cambridgeshire County Council community transport officer.

The scheme covers the areas of Gt Staughton, Lt Staughton, Spaldwick, Grafham, Stonley, Kimbolton, Perry, Ellington, Catworth and Brington.
